● Inorganic fillers such as calcium silicate and aluminum hydroxide improve dispersion in polymers and are especially suitable for high-temperature processing of polymers. Can reduce polymer melt viscosity.

● In many sol-gel applications, it can be partially hydrolyzed to form a pre-product that can be further thermally cross-linked. This pre-hydrolysis is often combined with alkyl silanes or other functional silanes, silicates, or even aqueous silica sol, combined composition.
