India initiates anti-absorption investigation: On December 31, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, at the request of Indian domestic enterprise Cabot Sanmar Limited, launched an anti-absorption investigation into the anti-dumping case of unprocessed fumed silica originating in or imported from China. The investigation mainly involves Chinese producer Shandong Dongyue Organosilicon Materials Co., Ltd. The Indian customs codes for the involved products (products involved) are 28112190, 28391900, and 34049090. The absorption period for this case is from July 2023 to June 2024.
