HPQ Silicon Inc., a Canadian company, announced that its subsidiary, HPQ Silica Polvere Inc. (HSPI), has successfully produced its first batch of fumed silica materials at a pilot plant using a proprietary Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR). The company plans to begin commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2025, aiming to become the first domestic supplier of fumed silica in Canada.

In addition, PyroGenesis is also advancing its fumed silica project, focusing on optimizing production processes and expanding capacity to meet growing market demand.
